Alan Brody has helped start dozens of enterprises, groups and events. He is famous for putting companies like Violin Memory on the road to its $800 million IPO and Partsearch Technologies to its $65 million valuation by discovering them when they were two-person startups. Recently, he put Alyce on the road to its $11.5 million raise, Kubient going public and Valisure raising $250,000.

He is the author of the indispensable book for entrepreneurs, Are You Fundable? and holds mastermind workshops that interactively help young companies find their investor and customer appeal.

Alan runs the popular Startupalooza open pitching events in New York, Stamford, Boston, Philadelphia, DC, L.A. and Silicon Valley – opening soon London, Paris and Berlin.

Alan is a marketing authority who has written and consulted for Advertising Age Creativity and AdWeek’s Marketing Computers. He is a personal student of the founder of Motivational Analysis, Ernest Dichter and has also written a book on brand symbolism that remains one of the most advanced studies on culture and product adoption in the industry that continues to be followed in the US, Canada and the UK (Cigarette Seduction). He created The Marcom Awards (now the Icon Awards) with ADWEEK, the first recognition program for high tech advertisers and PR agencies.

He is also the executive producer of the early TV show for Startups called Rags2Riches: The Entrepreneurs Next Door and appears in a new series on the International ZeeTV Network entitled Breakthrough the Crowd.
